Welding safety & compliance

Is your welding equipment being tested to Australian Standards?

Any business or organisation has the primary duty of providing a safe working environment. The health and safety risks arising from welding activities should be minimised so far as is reasonably practicable.

The Complyright inspection, testing and tagging process includes comprehensive reporting and recommendations or control measures for the equipment and associated activities on site.

Inspection and testing is performed to all relevant Australian Standards by industry trained staff.

The following is from the Worksafe Victoria Portable Oxy-Fuel Gas Equipment FAQ document:

As with all types of plant and equipment, regular inspection and periodic maintenance should be carried out on oxy-fuel gas components including: Regulators, Flashback Arrestors, Hose Assemblies, Blowpipes, Mixers and Attachments

Inspection and testing of flashback arrestors can be carried out by the manufacturer or supplier of the flashback arrestors or a technically competent person. The testing must be done every 12 months on machinery purpose built for the task and approved by the manufacturer of the flashback arrestor.

Records of inspection and maintenance should be kept by the person who owns the equipment that has been inspected and tested.
